When did you get your car & from where?

I traded my dad for it in 2003

When you bought it was it complete?

IIt was a complete car in its original form, untouched and unmolested, and as far as we know, it is an original mileage car.  My Dad bought it off of the original owner.

What was under the hood when you bought it? 

IIt had the original slant six 170.

What have you changed about your car?  

I have completely restored the car with a complete color change.  The motor has been stroked and balanced with a comp cam and 500cfm Holley.  2.5” dual exhaust, disk brakes, 15” wheels.

Was this your first project car?

No... I have had many a 69 Corvette 327, a 73 Plymouth Satellite Sebring 383,  a 73 Porsche 914, a 73 Chevrolet Monte Carlo 454, a 71 Pontiac Firebird 455, 1a 989 Tube Chassis Mustang GT 514, a 2001 bottle feed z28 Camero,  and 5 or 6 240 & 280Z’s.  There have been more, but it makes my head hurt to think about it.  LOL

Why a Mopar?

Well, after many years of my Dad giving me a hard time, I finally figured out that there was no other car but a MOPAR!

The paint & trim.

Is there a funny, sentimental story about your car?

Matter of fact there is.  When I got the car from my Dad I went home and told my wife that I just traded for it.  She said "You traded for that piece of junk? That has to be the ugliest car I have ever seen in the world!"  So over the last 3 years she has ragged on me about the car…."I can’t believe your wasting your time on that junk"….I would say “Well fine, guess ya won’t have to worry about riding in it then!”  So after all that, and the car getting painted and finished, one night I was out in the garage.  My wife came out to bring me a glass of tea and she said "I need to tell you something.  Dan, you must of seen something I didn’t, that is a beautiful car.  You have got to be proud".  And I said "You still can’t ride in it!" …………LOL
