Your name & where are you from? Jim & Ann Kelly – Originally Kansas Retired to Bella Vista in 1996What are the year, make & model of your car? '67 Cuda Coupe When did you get your car & from where? We bought it the summer of ’05 from a fellow in Rogers, Arkansas When you bought it was it complete? It’s a complete, original car, Turquoise Metallic, partially painted once. What was under the hood when you bought it? It came with the original Slant 6 and 904 automatic. What have you changed about your car? Threw a rod in the Slant 6 currently working on replacing it with a 360 and would like a 5 speed manual. Is this your first project car? No, 20 years ago restored a ’67 Mustang Convertible. Been piddling around with a frame-off, restoration/modification of a ’64 Ford Pickup for nearly 10 years – Chassis/ power train finished, bodywork on-going. Why Mopar? Have wanted to own a MOPAR since I was a teenager it finally happened – in the prime of my teen years – Age 62. Why did you choose that model? The car was an impulse buy – it was there, for sale, & I loved it. Why did you choose that color? Bought it that color What car would be your dream car to have or to work on? Either a ’67 –’69 Convertible ‘Cuda or an early ‘70’s Challenger Convertible. What’s the best thing about your car? Fun, Wonderful car to drive – Handles much better than I remember from the ‘60s What would you change about your car? Plan to change the engine- will install a 360, preferably with a manual 4 or 5 speed. Will repair some body damage & paint original color- will recover seats as original Is there a funny or sentimental story about your car that you would like to share? Some might find it humorous – I didn’t – Put new rod inserts in, crusin’ north to Joplin with a big grin on my face when rod goes knock, knock, BOOM!! Say goodbye to the Slant 6!!!!!lly got one.
