Your name & where you are from?

 Gary Green, Fayetteville, AR

What is the year, make & model of your car?

 1971 'Cuda

When did you get your car & from where?

I got it 10 years ago from Ernie Grace Mopars in Pensacola ,Fla.

When you bought it was it complete?

Body-wise it was complete, but with no motor transmission, seats or dash.

What was under the hood when you bought it?

 Cob webs and oil

What have you changed about your car?

 Full, ground up, nut-and-bolt restoration.

Was this your first project car?

 Project, yes.  E-body, no.

Why a Mopar?

 Mopar or no car!

Why did you choose that model?

I drove a challenger to school I got when I was 15. Paid $500 dollars for it with cold a/c. And always wanted a 'Cuda instead. Purple I thought was the coolest ,so when I was able ,with Help from Guru Joe Pennington, I located one in FL. From a collector there.

Why did you choose that color?

Purple was the fender tag code I was after.

What car would be your dream car to have or to work on?

 Red T/A Challenger, 4-speed.

What’s the best thing about your car?

The Paint I'll have to say I'm the proudest of, Thanks to Shane Jackson, Fordyce Auto Body. Fordyce,Ar. It did turn out above average. 13 Months later.

What would you change about your car?

If I were to do it again, I would put it back with white vinyl top, white interior , and white billboards, like the Tag says it was born. I just wanted Black at the time.

Is there a funny sentimental story about your car?

When I bought this car for $3500, I thought I was really getting taken advantage of . It was just too much money. Sitting right beside it in his garage, the crazy dude wanted $20,000 for a numbers matching white SUPERBIRD, (running driving, automatic , nice paint). Now that's funny!  I'd like to have that choice again 10 years later.

again 10 years later
