Larry and Mona Gathright. We just moved to Holiday Island from NE Louisiana.

What are the year, make & model of your car?

1973 Dodge Dart Sport

When did you get your car & from where?

I bought it last August. It was in a little town in Mississippi named Spanish Fork.

When you bought it was it complete?

No, it was just the shell with only the front end and rear axle in it.

What was under the hood when you bought it?

There was no engine or transmission when I bought it.

What have you changed about your car?

I have installed a 1974 318 with a 904 transmission out of a Dart Custom 4-door that I bought for parts. I have completely re-done the interior, installed new rear brakes, new tires, new 2¼" dual exhaust with turbo mufflers, installed a fuel cell and a hidden am/fm/CD stereo.

Why Mopar?

I had a 1969 Charger SE when I married Mona. Have always wanted another MOPAR.

Why did you choose this model?

I liked the Duster/Demon/Dart Sport body size & style.

What color will you paint it?

It will be painted the original Aztec Gold with black stripes.

What’s the best thing about your car?

That we have done almost everything ourselves.

What would you change about your car?

I would like to install either a 340 or 360 in it later.
