Is this your first project car?

Dodge is all I have ever driven. I have tinkered with some of my cars in the past but nothing like this one. So I guess you could say this is my first project car.

Why a Mopar?

There is no other. My parents worked in Dodge dealerships all my life. I was born into it. I am a Mopar lifer!

What’s the best thing about your car?

Wow, that's a tuff one. No matter how my day has gone I always have a smile on my face when I get behind the wheel of the Bee.

Is there a funny, sentimental story about your car?

First the sentimental. I think most of you are aware that we lost our only son last year. He was becoming quite the Mopar nut himself. For many years I was not able to drive anything but our ramp van. After he passed away Beth and I had a terrible void in our life with little direction of what to do with ourselves. Christopher "Topher" wanted me to have another cool car some day. We would do it all again just to be a part of his life. He was and is our son…our strength. We discovered that the car was a means of seeing new places and meeting new people. This is more than just a car.
On the lighter side, Beth did not grow up around cars. They were just transportation in her family. She has embraced the thrill of the smell of burning rubber, G-Force and Saturday's at the shows. She can now engage, with some knowledge, in "car" conversations. She told me after her first experience in a burnout at the Tahlequah cruise last summer that it was scary and exciting at the same time! I am proud of my car Chic.
